Shawn Goetz, P.E., S.E.

Shawn Goetz joined Hanson in 1994 as a civil/structural engineer in the firm’s Rockford, Illinois, office. In 2006, he moved to Hanson’s Kansas City metropolitan-area office as a project manager in the railway market. In 2014, he relocated to help open Hanson’s Minneapolis/St. Paul-area office. He was named a vice president in 2016 and joined the firm’s new industry market in 2018.
Shawn primarily serves as a project and program manager within Hanson’s industry, railway and infrastructure markets. He also serves as the operations lead for the industry market, focusing on operations, financial performance and strategic direction; and leads Hanson’s overall efforts in the Upper Midwest.
A leader in his community and the engineering industry, Shawn is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of Way Association (AREMA), where he serves as Secretary for Committee 8-Concrete Structures and Foundations. He also is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC-MN), where he serves on the Risk Management Procurement and Program committees, as well as the Third Party Compliance Provider Working Group.
