David Kemp serves Hanson as a vice president and senior project manager. He is a lifelong Northeast Florida resident with significant experience in civil, transportation, stormwater, utility, parks/recreation/multi-use trails and environmental planning and engineering; construction management; and project, field and staff operations supervision. He has managed multiyear, continuing services engineering contracts and major infrastructure improvement projects for numerous Northeast Florida state and local agencies, including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT); the cities of Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Palatka, Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach; and St. Johns, Putnam and Flagler counties. He offers comprehensive knowledge of local agency, FDOT and St. Johns River Water Management District policies, procedures and design criteria.

David manages prime contracts and projects; provides technical reviews and quality assurance/quality control for engineering and construction phases of projects; supervises administrative, professional, technical and field operations personnel; procures new business opportunities and develops proposals; manages day-to-day communication with clients; fulfills office management duties; and directs resources to fulfill Hanson’s financial and staff growth goals in Florida.

David is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida, American Public Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers and Northeast Florida League of Cities.
