Blake Swafford, P.E.

Blake Swafford, P.E., serves as Hanson's regional vice president-aviation. With more than 20 years of experience, Blake has comprehensive knowledge in the administration and operation of commercial service and general aviation airports, airport- and aviation-related project design, project management, construction management and alternative delivery methods for aviation projects. Those projects include runway extensions, runway safety area expansions, taxiway widening and extensions, apron rehabilitations and terminal improvements. 

Blake also has served as the director of Silver Comet Field at Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport and the executive director of the Paulding County Industrial Building Authority in Dallas, Georgia. His responsibilities included the planning, design, construction and operation of the first new airport built in the state of Georgia in more than 30 years. As a design consultant, Blake held positions as an airport design engineer and a project engineer, completing dozens of airport improvement projects at airports across the southeastern United States.
