Two celebrate anniversaries at Hanson’s headquarters
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Two employees recently celebrated service anniversaries at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield headquarters.
Susan Bloemke, human resources specialist, celebrated 10 years with Hanson. Before joining the firm in 2007, she was a training specialist for Springfield Clinic in Springfield. At Hanson, she assists with recruitment, hiring efforts, training and wellness initiatives. She was instrumental in revamping the internship program and has led the coordination of the annual intern class across the company. She received an associate degree in elementary education from Lincoln Land Community College in 2013 and a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Illinois Springfield in 2017.
Lisa Ulrich, P.E., civil engineer, marked five years of service. Prior to joining the company in 2012, she worked for an engineering consulting firm in Missouri. She has provided site layout and design for water, wastewater and stormwater facilities and systems projects, including stormwater conveyance for the Carpenter Street underpass and sewer rehabilitations, both in Springfield; the replacement of water services to Building 1 at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research in Peoria; and capacity and water-control improvements for Stratton Lock and Dam in McHenry. She also reviews procedures at precast concrete plants for the National Precast Concrete Association. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Iowa in 2004.
