Two celebrate 15 years at Hanson’s headquarters
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Lindsay Hausman, P.E., chief aviation engineer, and Michael Mendenhall, P.E., S.E., a structural engineer, recently celebrated service anniversaries at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield headquarters.
Both joined the firm in 2002. Hausman has provided design services for pavements, hangar complexes and electrical systems for airports, including Lewis University, Bolingbrook’s Clow International, Lake in the Hills, Joliet Regional and Waukegan National in Illinois. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2002 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Mendenhall has provided planning and design services for a variety of infrastructure projects, including the MacArthur Boulevard extension and structural engineering for the Springfield Rail Improvements Project, which includes the Carpenter Street underpass, all in Springfield; the reconstruction of Interstate 74 in downtown Peoria; construction engineering for the tied-arch bridge carrying Illinois 104 over the Illinois River at Meredosia; and multiple bridge inspections and rehabilitations around the state for the Illinois Department of Transportation. He earned an associate degree in engineering science in 2000 from Lincoln Land Community College and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2002 from UIUC. He is a licensed professional engineer in several states, including Illinois, and a licensed structural engineer in Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers and its Capital Chapter, from which he received the Young Engineer of the Year award in 2012. He also is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
