Hanson’s Knoedler, Boyd to present at CxEnergy 2017

Two energy and commissioning employees from Hanson Professional Services Inc. will deliver presentations April 26 during the CxEnergy 2017 Conference & Expo. Hanson is a Bronze Sponsor and exhibitor for CxEnergy, a commissioning and energy management event that will be held April 25–26 in Orlando, Florida.

Robert Knoedler, P.E., EMP, CxA, a vice president and principal of commissioning and energy-related services at Hanson, and Jim Magee, CxA, EMP, president and CEO of Facility Commissioning Group, will present “After Hours Cx — Lessons Learned from K-12 Schools,” which examines lessons learned from commissioning K-12 schools as well as the challenges presented by the owners, architectural and engineering teams and contractors.

Nate Boyd, P.E., CPMP, LEED AP®, a mechanical engineer and energy specialist at Hanson, and Jeff Daniels, FMA, CEM, CEA, LEED GA, Orlando International Airport’s director of maintenance, will present “Development of an Energy Roadmap for Orlando International Airport.” A large airport authority sought to develop an energy roadmap for its growing campus. Gathering the requisite information, establishing benchmarks and targets and performing condition assessments and audits were critical steps, along with collaborating to forecast demands, costs, budgets and goals. Because these were phased efforts, it was vital to establish the sequence and prioritize the steps. This presentation will examine the development of the roadmap and how it will be used and periodically re-evaluated.

CxEnergy 2017 draws hundreds of visitors representing commissioning providers; energy management professionals; mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers; heating, ventilating and air conditioning testing professionals; facility managers; and building owners. The expo hall showcases a wide variety of products including controls, software, instruments, metering devices and services targeted for commissioning, energy management, engineering and testing firms.

Hanson will exhibit at booth 206 during the conference.

CxEnergy is presented by the AABC Commissioning Group, Associated Air Balance Council and Energy Management Association. Learn more about the event at www.CxEnergy.com.
