Rexroad celebrates 30 years at Hanson

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Max Rexroad, P.E., a senior civil and railroad engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc., recently celebrated 30 years at the firm.

Rexroad, who joined Hanson in 1992 and works at the Kansas City office, provides construction management and project management, prepares plans and specifications and cost estimates and participates in the design of railroad-related projects. He has worked on projects including new intermodal facilities for Union Pacific Railroad in Arkansas, Illinois, New Mexico and Utah; an intermodal facility expansion in Salinas Victoria, Nuevo León, Mexico, for Kansas City Southern de Mexico; a capacity expansion for BNSF Railway Co. in Kelso, Washington; and the design of CSX Corp.’s trans-shipment terminal expansion project in North Baltimore, Ohio. He is providing services for BNSF’s Sandpoint Junction Connector Project, which will relieve rail traffic congestion in Sandpoint, Idaho, and includes a 4,800-foot-plus bridge over Lake Pend Oreille.

He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering in 1990 and 1991, respectively, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed professional engineer in Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas and Missouri.
