Bialobreski celebrates 15 years at Hanson’s Peoria office

PEORIA, Ill. — Kurt Bialobreski, P.E., PTOE, an assistant vice president and Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s chief innovation officer, recently celebrated 15 years of service at the firm.

Bialobreski, who joined the company in 2006 and works at the Peoria office, monitors trends and technologies in the industry and oversees the implementation of innovative strategies that can serve Hanson’s clients. During his career, he has served as a project manager and traffic engineer on transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the country, including the Warehouse District revitalization and the rehabilitation of the Murray Baker Bridge, both in Peoria, and the Multimodal Corridor Enhancement (MCORE) street improvements project in Champaign and Urbana.

Bialobreski received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Florida and a certified professional traffic operations engineer. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and was named the 2012 Young Engineer of the Year and the 2019 Civil Engineer of the Year by the Central Illinois Section. He also is a member of the American Public Works Association and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. In 2014, he was selected as a Rising Star in Civil Engineering by ZweigWhite’s Civil + Structural Engineer magazine and was named one of the 40 Leaders Under Forty by InterBusiness Issues magazine.
