Lawless celebrates 20 years at Hanson’s headquarters
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Ryan Lawless, environmental scientist, recently celebrated 20 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.
Lawless, who joined Hanson in 2000, provides environmental permitting, remediation and site assessment services for industry, commercial and transportation projects.
Lawless has provided environmental services for numerous projects, including the Capitol Avenue and Eighth Street streetscape design and beautification projects in Springfield, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign site remediation, Multimodal Corridor Enhancement (MCORE) street improvements project in Champaign and Urbana and the widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Illinois’ Boone, Kane and McHenry counties. He recently completed a long-term assignment serving as an environmental specialist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Consolidated Resource Center in Denton, Texas, and has supported disasters in Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Illinois. He also provides soil and groundwater services for Ameren, including the Illinois Rivers transmission line project from Palmyra, Missouri, to the Indiana border east of Marshall.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental health in 1999 from Illinois State University.
