Hanson’s Sumrak named Rising Star in Multidiscipline Engineering

LISLE, Ill. — Kim Sumrak, P.E., a civil engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Chicago regional office, has been named a 2020 Rising Star in Multidiscipline Engineering by Zweig Group.

Rising Stars recognizes engineering professionals in the U.S. who are 40 years old or younger and who have demonstrated exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, effective teaching or research or public service benefiting their professions, their employers, project owners and society. This year’s 20 Rising Stars in civil, structural, full-service and multidiscipline engineering are recognized in the August issue Civil + Structural Engineer magazine, which is available at https://online.flippingbook.com/view/1046026. Sumrak, who earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Iowa, is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Iowa and Kansas. She is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the American Council of Engineering Companies.
