Marcelo Suarez, a civil designer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Seattle regional office, recently celebrated five years of service with the company. Suarez, who joined the firm in 2015, oversees the construction of infrastructure improvements for rail projects. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2010 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and a master’s degree in transportation engineering in 2015 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
