Bekoin, Schrader celebrate five years at Hanson

Mandy Bekoin and Matthew Schrader, PLS, recently celebrated five years of service with Hanson Professional Services Inc. Both joined the firm in 2015.

Bekoin, a business development support specialist, works at the company’s Springfield, Illinois, headquarters. She previously worked as a part-time special consultant for the firm in 2012. She updates and writes database entries for project information and employee resumes, maintains and creates content for Hanson’s website and assists the company with other writing and editing. She received an associate degree from Springfield College in 1996 and a bachelor’s degree in news-editorial journalism in 1998 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of ACES: The Society for Editing and The Association for Women in Communications.

Schrader, a vice president and the surveying and data collection discipline manager and geospatial technical leader at Hanson, works at the St. Louis regional office. He previously worked for the firm from 1992 to 1997 and from 1998 to 1999 as a technician and surveyor. He is a project manager and oversees Hanson’s geospatial projects and personnel. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology in 1990 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is a licensed professional land surveyor in Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky and Missouri and is a member of the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association, Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors and the Society of American Military Engineers.
