Heaton celebrates 10 years with Hanson

LISLE, Ill. — Mark Heaton, P.E., senior transportation engineer, recently celebrated 10 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Chicago regional office.

Heaton, who joined the company in 2010, has more than 20 years of experience in highway design for large, complex reconstruction and rehabilitation projects. He has led multidisciplined teams and successfully delivered projects using innovative delivery methods to meet accelerated project schedules. He has provided services for projects including the widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Boone, Kane and McHenry counties; the reconstruction of Interstate 74 through Moline, associated with the Mississippi River bridge replacement in Moline and Bettendorf, Iowa; corridor management services for the master planning of 22 miles of Interstate 294 in Cook and DuPage counties; and the reconstruction of a 4-mile section of Interstate 294 in Cook County.

Heaton received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1998 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Texas.
