Matt Dondanville, GISP, a geographic information systems (GIS) specialist, and Thomas Packman, EIT, a structural designer, recently celebrated five years at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Illinois, headquarters. Both joined the firm in 2014.
Dondanville specializes in GIS and geospatial development across multiple markets, including development and processing for Hanson’s unmanned aircraft systems, or drones. He received a bachelor’s degree in geography and planning in 2012 from Grand Valley State University and an advanced certificate in mobile GIS applications development in 2015 from Long Island University. He is a certified geographic information systems professional.
Packman assists with the analysis, design and construction administration of steel, concrete and masonry structures, including preparing 3D finite element and Autodesk Revit models, for public agency and private industry clients. He also has conducted precast-concrete plant audits nationwide as part of Hanson’s contract with the National Precast Concrete Association. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering in 2013 and 2017, respectively, from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
