Hanson names Becker operations manager
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — April Becker has been promoted to the new role of operations manager for Hanson Professional Services Inc.
Becker, who works at the firm’s Springfield headquarters, will be responsible for office services and administrative staff across the company and will assist with records management and facilities. She will continue to serve in her previous role of safety manager, overseeing the corporate safety committee and corporate safety programs and policies and working with staff who have safety responsibilities.
Becker previously was a part-time librarian for Hanson from 2010 to 2012 before rejoining the firm in 2014. She received an associate degree from Lewis and Clark Community College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was a member of the 2018 class of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Springfield and received a community service award for her efforts during the program. Earlier this year, she was named to the Springfield Business Journal’s 2019 “Forty Under 40” list.
