Jones celebrates 10 years at Hanson

LISLE, Ill. — Matthew Jones, P.E., PLS, a civil engineer and land surveyor at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Chicago regional office, recently celebrated 10 years of service with the company.

Jones, who joined the firm in 2009, provides geospatial, surveying and engineering services. He has worked on projects including the widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Boone, Kane and McHenry counties; the Interstate 74 Mississippi River bridge replacement from Moline, Illinois, to Bettendorf, Iowa; and design and construction projects for the village of Hillside, including the village’s geographic information system. He has been a surveyor and data collector for projects, including IDOT’s statewide outdoor advertising control program, and conducts precast-concrete plant inspections nationwide as part of Hanson’s contract with the National Precast Concrete Association.

Jones received an associate degree in engineering studies in 2000 from Lake Land College and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2003 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is a licensed professional engineer and land surveyor in Illinois.
