Matos-Velázquez joins Hanson as transportation designer
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Karla Matos-Velázquez, transportation designer, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc. She will serve as an in-house consultant to the Florida Department of Transportation in Tallahassee, assisting the Systems Implementation Office with planning and traffic activities, including access management, trip generation, corridor studies and interchanges.
Before joining Hanson, Matos-Velázquez was a laboratory technician for the Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority’s Department of Infrastructure.
Matos-Velázquez received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus.
