Wilcoxon celebrates 10 years at Hanson
MAITLAND, Fla. — Doug Wilcoxon, P.E., a civil engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Orlando regional office, recently celebrated 10 years with the firm.
Wilcoxon previously worked for Hanson for six years and rejoined the company in 2007. He also was a manufacturing engineer for Boeing Co. in St. Louis, a plant engineer for Hillsboro Glass Co. in Hillsboro, Illinois, and a process engineer for ASARCO Inc. in Hillsboro and Omaha, Nebraska.
At Hanson, Wilcoxon designs interstate highways, local roads, runways, taxiways and civil sites. He has provided design services for a variety of transportation and aviation projects, including a taxiway realignment at Leesburg International Airport in Leesburg; a runway pavement reconstruction for Valkaria Airport in Grant-Valkaria; drainage improvements, taxiway extensions and water management system improvements at Naples Municipal Airport in Naples; a sinkhole repair and runway rehabilitation for Monroe County Airport in Bloomington, Indiana; the U.S. 231 relocation in West Lafayette, Indiana; the widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Boone, McHenry and Kane counties in Illinois; and the reconstruction of Interstate 74 in Peoria, Illinois.
He received an associate degree in pre-engineering in 1986 from Lincoln Land Community College and a bachelor’s degree in general engineering in 1989 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed professional engineer in Florida and Indiana and a member of the Florida Board of Professional Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
