Turczyn marks 30 years of service at Hanson

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Paul Turczyn, P.E., senior electrical engineer, recently celebrated 30 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters.

Turczyn joined the company in 1984. He has designed electrical systems for many projects, including for historic renovations at the Lincoln Home, Lincoln Tomb site and the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Sacred Heart-Griffin High School’s renovations and additions and University of Illinois at Springfield’s University Hall, all in Springfield; remodeling at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC); Project Hoosier Safely Acting for Everyone Together (SAFE-T) in Indiana; facility renovations for NASA in Cape Canaveral, Fla.; and facilities for the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, Ill., Great Lakes Naval Training Station in Great Lakes, Ill., Illinois Air National Guard and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Turczyn earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1973 from UIUC. He is a member of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, Industry Applications Society, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. He also is chairman of the Electrical Commission in Springfield.
