Stump celebrates 20 years at Hanson’s Kansas City metropolitan office

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Eric Stump, P.E., structural and civil engineer, recently celebrated 20 years at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Kansas City metropolitan office.

Stump, who joined Hanson in 1997, previously was a civil engineer for a civil and structural engineering firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At Hanson, he has provided design engineering and project management for a variety of work, including the Swope Park Industrial Area flyover bridge and roadway realignment in Kansas City, Missouri, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Kansas City District; BNSF Railway Co.’s intermodal facility expansion in Memphis, Tennessee; CSX Corp.’s intermodal facility expansion in northwest Ohio; highway bridges in the Kansas City area; and many railroad intermodal projects around the U.S.

He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1992 from the University of New Mexico and a master’s degree in civil engineering in 1996 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed professional engineer in Kansas and Missouri and a member of the American Public Works Association, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the Society of American Military Engineers’ Kansas City Post.
