Stewart marks five years of service at Hanson’s N.C. office

RALEIGH, N.C. — Vincent Stewart, LEED® AP, senior commissioning specialist, recently celebrated five years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Raleigh, N.C. office.

Stewart joined the company in 2008 and serves the government and energy market. Prior to joining Hanson, he gained 20 years of experience in heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) construction and commissioning, including as president/owner of an HVAC contracting business in New York, N.Y.

At Hanson, he has provided third-party commissioning services for various clients, including numerous universities, colleges and K-12 schools throughout North Carolina. Clients have included Duke University, East Carolina University, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Fayetteville State University, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Appalachian State University and North Carolina Central University. He recently completed commissioning of Sandy Grove Middle School in Lumber Bridge, N.C., the United States’ first net-positive energy, LEED® Platinum designed, leased public school. It also is North Carolina’s first public-private partnership (P3) financed school and the second P3 financed school in the country.

Stewart received an associate degree in civil engineering in 1985 from the State University of New York. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, the North Carolina Energy Coalition and the Southeast Region Building Commissioning Association.
