Spitz earns professional engineer license

CHICAGO — Kevin Spitz, P.E., a civil engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc., recently earned his professional engineer license in Illinois.  He serves in the company’s Chicago office.  

Spitz joined Hanson in 2008.  He has been involved with a variety of civil engineering projects, including the Interstate 74 Mississippi River crossing near the Quad Cities; the Interstate 90 widening and reconstruction in Illinois’ Boone, Kane and McHenry counties; the Lake in the Hills, Ill., Airport Taxiway A reconstruction; and the Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) Program’s Chicago-to-Chillicothe, Ill., rail connection.

He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
