Simpson joins Hanson’s Frankfort office as civil engineer

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Wayne Simpson, P.E., civil engineer, recently joined Hanson’s Frankfort, Ky., office.

Simpson will assist with design and program management for clients in Kentucky and Tennessee. He is currently working on projects at the Stanton Airport in Stanton, Ky., a new snow removal equipment and maintenance building at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Ky., the Louisville Regional Airport Authority’s Bowman Field Airport Area Safety Program in Louisville, Ky., and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s statewide aviation planning and engineering task orders.

He has 15 years of civil engineering experience. Prior to joining Hanson, he was a transportation engineering specialist for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and worked in Kentucky and Tennessee for an engineering firm’s airport design division.

Simpson has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is a licensed professional engineer in Kentucky. He is a member of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers.
