Rickett joins Hanson’s Seattle-area office

SEATTLE — Tristan Rickett, E.I., a railroad designer, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Seattle-area office. He currently is assisting with a track assessment report and design summary drawings for various clients. 

Rickett previously served as the graduate research assistant at the University of Illinois, working with a multi-disciplinary research team to implement machine-vision technology for the measurement of intermodal freight train energy efficiency. He also previously served as a traffic intern with the city of Portland, Bureau of Transportation. 

He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Gonzaga University and a master’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis on railroad transportation and engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association.
