Perschbacher selected as one of ‘40 Under Forty’

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Adam Perschbacher, a graphic designer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters, has been named to the Springfield Business Journal’s 2015 “40 Under Forty” list.

Since 1997, the monthly publication has recognized young professionals in Springfield and its surrounding communities through the annual 40 Under Forty awards program. Individuals, nominated by readers, are selected based on their contributions to their communities through professional and volunteer efforts. An awards ceremony will be held July 15 at University of Illinois Springfield.

Perschbacher, an artist, has been extensively involved in Springfield’s art community. He is one of the founders of The Pharmacy Gallery and Art Space, an artist co-op, where he assisted with exhibitions. He was membership chairman and volunteer for the Prairie Art Alliance and curator of the Third Thursday art shows in downtown Springfield. He also is a supporter of the Springfield Art Association. His other community involvement includes supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois through its Bowl for Kids’ Sake event; United Way of Central Illinois; Children’s Miracle Network; genHkids; and Springfield Public Schools.

Perschbacher received an associate degree in fine arts from Lincoln Land Community College and a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from the University of Illinois Springfield.
