Perrott earns energy management certification
MAITLAND, Fla. — Bradley Perrott, P.E., LEED AP®, GGP, EMP, a mechanical engineer and commissioning specialist at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Orlando regional office, recently earned an Energy Management Professional (EMP) certification from the Energy Management Association (EMA).
The EMA is an organization that is focused on the development of quality energy management processes and services that are used to help building owners optimize energy savings while maintaining peak building performance. The EMP certification is given to individuals who demonstrate the requisite skills and knowledge of the energy management process and will be advocates for building owners.
Perrott, who joined Hanson in January, also is a licensed professional engineer in several states, including Florida; Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design AP (accredited professional); and Green Globes Professional. He leads the mechanical design group for the central Florida area and assists with commissioning and energy projects nationally and internationally.
He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida. He is a member of ASHRAE’s Central Florida Chapter, the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and the United States Green Building Council. In 2013, he was named one of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine’s 40 Under 40.
