Morey celebrates 25 years of service at Hanson

ROCKFORD, Ill. — Mitch Morey, technician, recently celebrated 25 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Rockford, Ill., office.

Morey joined the company in 1989 and has worked as a field and laboratory technician. He provides drafting services for bridge removals and replacements, building foundations and frames and overhead highway sign trusses.

During his career, Morey has been involved in many projects in Rockford, including the Harrison Avenue Bridge rehabilitation, Rock Valley College Physical Education Center addition and renovation, Karl J. Jacobs Center for Science and Math at Rock Valley College, SwedishAmerican Health System Regional Cancer Center, Rockford Memorial Hospital Energy Center expansion, YMCA of Rock River Valley addition, Winnebago County Justice Center and the Perryville Path and pedestrian bridge. Other northern Illinois projects he has worked on include the Illinois Tollway’s overhead sign truss rehabilitation in Ogle and Lee counties; Northern Illinois University Huskie Stadium’s east stands in DeKalb, Ill.; and the OSF Rock Cut Crossing medical office building in Loves Park, Ill.

Morey has an associate degree in building construction technology from Morrison Institute of Technology.
