Litteken becomes civil intern at Hanson Professional Services Inc.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Garrett Litteken, EIT, recently became a civil intern at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s headquarters in Springfield, Ill., serving the firm’s federal services market. His work will include two-dimensional modeling; he currently is assisting with an aqueduct modeling project for the Maple River near Fargo, N.D.
Litteken was an engineering aide for Hanson, assisting the water resources department with a floodplain analysis for Wildcat Creek in Kokomo, Ind. He also was an intern for Delta Companies Inc. in Marion, Ill., where he performed quality-control work on asphalt samples, management duties and workload optimization.
Litteken has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental engineering from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. As a graduate assistant, he was a laboratory instructor for an environmental engineering course. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association and Order of the Engineer.
