Knoedler elected to BCA’s Southeast Regional Chapter board of directors
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Robert J. Knoedler, P.E., CEM, CxA, vice president and principal of commissioning and energy-related services, recently was elected to the board of directors for the Southeast Regional Chapter of the Building Commissioning Association (SERBCA). He also was elected secretary of the board for 2012.
SERBCA promotes building commissioning practices that maintain high professional standards and fulfill building owners’ expectations. The association works to advance the inclusion of the commissioning process as an accepted component of building design, construction, ownership and operation in the southeastern United States. The Southeast Regional Chapter is part of the national Building Commissioning Association — a group with more than 1,000 members nationwide.
Knoedler works extensively with public- and private-sector clients, providing commissioning and retrocommissioning services for various buildings and facilities. He is a frequent presenter on the topics of building commissioning, energy analysis and conservation, and energy systems design. In addition to serving as a SERBCA board member, Knoedler also serves as chairman of the Haywood County Health Board and as a member of the Town of Maggie Valley’s planning board in North Carolina.
