Bekoin joins Hanson as business development support specialist
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Mandy Bekoin recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters as a business development support specialist. She will update and write database entries for project information and employee resumes and assist the company with other writing and editing.
Bekoin previously worked as a part-time special consultant for the firm in 2012, providing writing and editing services for the marketing communications department. She also was an editorial writer at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, a designer and copy editor for The State Journal-Register in Springfield and an assistant night editor for the Journal Gazette and Times-Courier in Mattoon, Ill. She has received awards in headline writing from the American Association of Sunday and Feature Editors, Illinois Associated Press Editors Association and Illinois Press Association.
Bekoin received an associate degree from Springfield College and a bachelor’s degree in news-editorial journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
