Jenkins marks five years at Hanson
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Melissa Jenkins, P.E., an aviation business development lead at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Bowman Field project office in Louisville, recently celebrated five years of service with the company.
Prior to joining Hanson in 2011, Jenkins was a project manager and engineer for firms in Kentucky. At Hanson, she provides project development services and has worked on projects including a snow removal equipment and maintenance facility at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington and roadway reconstructions, rehabilitations and widenings for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Tennessee Department of Transportation. She is the project manager for the Bowman Field Airport Area Safety Program to address airspace obstructions, which is underway.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2001 from the University of Kentucky. She is a licensed professional engineer in Kentucky, Arizona, Tennessee and West Virginia and is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kentucky, American Society of Highway Engineers, Kentucky Aviation Association and Kentuckians for Better Transportation.
