Two celebrate service anniversaries at Hanson’s New York metropolitan office
WAYNE, N.J. — H. Phil Jackson, a technician, and Ken Wong, P.E., a project manager, recently celebrated service anniversaries at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s New York metropolitan office. Both serve the firm’s telecommunications market.
Jackson marked his 10-year anniversary. He joined Hanson in 2003 and designs transmitter buildings and equipment shelters. He also creates architectural, mechanical, civil and electrical drawings through computer-aided design (CAD). He assists with all CAD-related projects, including designing, detailing and site layout and helps the computer-services department with software upgrades and hardware installation. He earned an associate degree in architectural design in 1982 from the Porter and Chester Institute. He is a member of the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) and is studying to take the Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RDD) exam this summer.
Wong marked his 15-year anniversary. He joined Hanson in 1998 and designs mechanical systems including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for mission critical and data center projects. He also conducts field surveys and prepares proposals, schedules and reports. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1980 from the University of Birmingham in England and a Master of Business Administration in 1990 from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
