Hanson selected for 4th indefinite contract with International Broadcasting Bureau
WAYNE, N.J. — The International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) recently selected Hanson Professional Services Inc. for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.
The IDIQ contract for architect-engineer planning and design support will involve design, maintenance, repair, alteration and facility construction for IBB broadcast transmission stations. The bureau has the option to extend the yearlong contract four times.
Hanson has worked with the bureau for more than 20 years, providing engineering, installation and construction services. Hanson has completed approximately 50 projects worldwide for the IBB.
“The IBB continues to place its confidence in Hanson as a valued architect and engineering consultant for its worldwide broadcast facilities. We look forward to working with IBB on projects ranging from the new state-of-the-art Network Control Center in Washington, D.C., to projects which will maintain and expand IBB’s global broadcast capability,” said Ted Collora, PLS, Hanson senior vice president and principal of telecommunications services.
The IBB is an entity within the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), which is an independent federal agency that supervises all U.S. government-supported civilian international media. The IBB provides transmission and technical support for independent, non-military broadcasting services funded by the BBG.
