Higgerson joins Hanson’s St. Louis regional office
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. — Nathan Higgerson, power generation project manager and business development lead, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s St. Louis regional office. He will work within the firm’s power and industry market, managing and expanding work with current clients and pursuing others for various power generation infrastructure support projects. He also will continue the market development to support new federal regulations for coal combustion handling for power plants.
Prior to joining Hanson, Higgerson was a senior engineer for coal combustion residuals at Prairie State Generating Co. in Marissa, Ill. He also was a project manager for an environmental engineering firm in Fairview Heights, Ill., and an engineer for an environmental and civil engineering firm in Springfield, Ill., and for an international engineering, architecture and consulting firm in Fenton, Mo.
He received a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from University of Missouri–Rolla and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He is a member of the American Coal Ash Association and the Utility Solid Waste Activities Group.
