Herndon earns professional engineer license

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. — Jaycen Herndon, P.E., a civil intern at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s St. Louis regional office, has earned his professional engineer license in Illinois.

Herndon, who joined the firm in 2013, has provided design support, plan production and revisions, exhibits, cost estimating and permitting assistance for airport projects, including improvements to the runway safety area at St. Louis Regional Airport in East Alton, Illinois; a taxiway reconstruction and ditch relocation at St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Illinois; and the sinkhole repair and runway rehabilitation at Monroe County Airport in Bloomington, Indiana. He also has conducted precast-concrete plant inspections nationwide as part of Hanson’s contract with the National Precast Concrete Association.

Herndon received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
