Heaton celebrates five years at Hanson’s Chicago regional office

OAK BROOK, Ill. — Mark Heaton, P.E., a transportation engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Chicago regional office, recently celebrated five years of service.

Heaton, who joined the company in 2010, has more than 15 years of experience in design for highways, roadways, traffic signals, lighting systems, horizontal and vertical alignments and cross sections; and design studies for intersections and interchanges. Before joining Hanson, he was a project engineer for Chicago-area firms.

His project experience at Hanson includes the widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Illinois’ Boone, Kane and McHenry counties; the roadway and bridge rehabilitation of a 9.5-mile section of Interstate 88 (Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway) in Illinois’ Ogle and Lee counties; the reconstruction of the Interstate 74 bridge over the Mississippi River from Moline, Ill., to Bettendorf, Iowa; and infrastructure projects for multiple municipalities in northern Illinois.

Heaton received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1998 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
