Haskell marks 10 years at Hanson’s Nashville area office
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Tim Haskell, a senior aviation planner at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Nashville area office, recently celebrated 10 years of service with the firm.
Prior to joining the company in 2006, he was a consultant for large executive and small general airports. He also worked for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority and was an aviation planner for the Chicago Department of Aviation. At Hanson, he conducts airport feasibility and environmental studies, prepares airport layout and master plans and acquires grants and funding for primary and general aviation airports.
He has provided services for aviation projects including for a capital improvement program for Murfreesboro Municipal Airport; master plan and environmental assessment for Capital City Airport in Frankfort, Kentucky; land use master plan and forecast for St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Illinois; and master plan and airport layout plan for Valkaria Airport in Valkaria, Florida. He is the senior planner for Bowman Field’s area safety program in Louisville, Kentucky; and project manager for runway safety area improvements at Stanton Airport near Stanton, Kentucky, and for planning efforts at four state-owned airports in Kentucky, which are under way.
Haskell received a bachelor’s degree in aviation administration in 1977 and a master’s degree in education in 1979, both from Middle Tennessee State University. From 1986 to 2012, he was an adjunct faculty member on campus at Middle Tennessee State University and for Southern Illinois University’s off-campus program, teaching airport management, planning and environmental courses for undergraduate and graduate classes. He is a member of the Airports Council International – North America and the American Association of Airport Executives.
