Hanson’s Amy Kay named to Forty Under 40 recognition
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Springfield Business Journal recently named Hanson’s Amy Kay, public relations coordinator, to its list of forty professionals under 40. Individuals are selected based on their contributions to the local business community and the community in which they reside.
Kay is a past board member for the Association of Women in Communications, and she serves on the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois’ Engineering Excellence Awards committee. She volunteers with the Pregnancy Care Center of Springfield Inc., Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County, American Red Cross – Illinois Capital Area Chapter, and the United Way of Central Illinois. She also is a graduate of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Springfield and the citizen’s policy academy through the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office.
She has a bachelor’s degree in communication and political science from Iowa State University.
