His experience includes providing support services for bridge, highway, railway and public utility projects as well as numerous airports throughout Illinois.

His career highlights include serving as project technician for a railroad system planning study in Springfield, Ill., in the 1980s to consider various alternatives for solutions to the many conflicts between rail operations and traffic, producing a final railroad relocation plan.  He also assisted with many improvements at the Quincy Regional Airport in Quincy, Ill., including a 479-foot-long runway extension, a new access road, and improvements to the runway safety area such as upgrading the edge lighting system, installing runway-end identifier lights, and improving drainage.  Most recently, he assisted with BNSF Railway Co.’s Memphis Intermodal Facility in Memphis, Tenn., providing construction observation for the 200-acre facility.
