Hanson makes executive changes as part of strategic plan
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Jeff Ball, P.E., has been named to the new role of markets leader for Hanson Professional Services Inc. and promoted to executive vice president. In this new position, he will oversee the firm’s seven markets: aviation; federal; government and energy; infrastructure; power and industry; railway; and telecommunications. He also will provide leadership for the markets’ business development and develop strategies and resources to enhance and sustain growth and profitability.
Ball’s former role as infrastructure market principal will be filled by James Messmore, P.E., a senior vice president at Hanson. Messmore will develop and implement programs to achieve profitable growth, oversee staff and develop and maintain relationships with clients for the infrastructure market.
“The new role Jeff is taking on fulfills one part of our company’s long-term, strategic plan for growth,” Hanson’s President and CEO, Sergio “Satch” Pecori, P.E., said. “The firm has established a strategic planning goal of doubling its revenue and expanding its national presence by 2020.”
Florida is one key component of the growth initiative, where Hanson has offices in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, West Palm Beach and in the Orlando and Sarasota areas. Earlier this year, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer John Coombe, P.E., S.E., relocated to the Sarasota regional office, with the goal of leading the firm’s Florida expansion efforts. Charles Snowden Jr., AAE, CFM, joined the company earlier this year as a senior vice president and aviation market principal. He is based at the Jacksonville office and is focusing on expanding the company’s aviation presence in Florida, the Southeast and nationally.
