Nichelson celebrates 20 years of service at Hanson
SARASOTA, Fla. — Gregory Nichelson, P.E., senior civil/railway engineer, recently celebrated 20 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.
Nichelson, who works at the Sarasota office, joined the company in 2004. He has provided design and construction plans for a variety of railway projects, including Norfolk Southern Corp.’s mainline extension between Nokesville and Calverton in Virginia; BNSF Railway Co.’s intermodal facility in Memphis, Tennessee; the Springfield Rail Improvements Project in Springfield, Illinois; and numerous capacity improvement projects, industrial track expansions and yard layout arrangements.
He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1994 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Florida and Virginia. He is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association.
