Dowd joins Hanson Professional Services Inc.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Corey Dowd, EIT, engineer intern, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s headquarters in Springfield, Ill., serving the firm’s infrastructure market. His responsibilities include roadway, railway and hydrological design.
Dowd was a civil engineer intern for the Douglas County Highway Department in Tuscola, Ill., where he inspected construction, performed quality-control and quality-assurance testing of concrete and soil, conducted topographic surveys and assisted with computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
Dowd has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Eastern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
