Dorsey celebrates 15 years at Hanson’s headquarters
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Doug Dorsey, project manager, recently celebrated 15 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters.
Dorsey previously worked for the company from 1989 to 1999 in Springfield and Rockford, Ill. He also worked for Krueger Engineering and Sciences in Springfield before rejoining Hanson in 2000, when the firm acquired Krueger.
He has conducted environmental assessments and managed permitting issues and environmental compliance for railroad and other transportation and commercial projects, including for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield; Uptown Station, a multimodal transportation center in Normal, Ill.; the Chicago Regional Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program; BNSF Railway Co. rail yards, intermodal facilities, siding extensions and bridge reconstructions across the U.S.; and Union Pacific Railroad intermodal facilities in Arkansas, Illinois and Utah.
Dorsey earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1979 from Illinois College. He is a member of the American Railway Development Association and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and its Committee 13: Environmental.
