Dondanville becomes GIS specialist at Hanson
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Matthew Dondanville has become a geographic information system (GIS) specialist in the federal market working at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters and supporting the St. Louis geospatial and surveying group as needed. He will specialize in GIS and geospatial development for water resources projects, including hydrographic surveying and processing.
Dondanville, who joined Hanson in December, was an intern for the firm in 2011. He provided GIS services for projects including the Illinois High-Speed Rail Chicago to St. Louis Program. He had been employed from 2012 to 2014 as a GIS team leader and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) specialist for a geospatial consulting firm.
Dondanville has a bachelor’s degree in geography and planning from Grand Valley State University. He also has an advanced certificate in mobile GIS applications development from Long Island University.
