Dewey becomes water resources engineer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Justin Dewey, P.E., CFM, recently became a water resources engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Jacksonville, Fla., office. He primarily will be responsible for supporting the office’s water resources design needs for infrastructure projects, including the hydrologic and hydraulic design of stormwater systems, erosion control and bridge hydraulics. He also will assist with task and project management, as well as marketing efforts.

Dewey joined Hanson as a special consultant last year. Before then, he was an engineering technical lead for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Jacksonville District and a water resources engineer for a facilities and infrastructure consulting firm in Jacksonville.

Dewey has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Tennessee Technological University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Florida and a certified floodplain manager.
