Stump celebrates 25 years at Hanson

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Eric Stump, P.E., a project manager at Hanson Professional Services Inc., recently celebrated 25 years at the firm.

Stump, who joined Hanson in 1997 and works at the Kansas City office, has provided design engineering and project management for a variety of work, including the Swope Park Industrial Area flyover bridge and roadway realignment in Kansas City for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Kansas City District; BNSF Railway Co.’s intermodal facility expansion in Memphis, Tennessee; the Fort Polk railroad rehabilitation for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Fort Worth District; highway bridges in the Kansas City area; and many railroad intermodal projects around the U.S.

He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering in 1992 from the University of New Mexico and in 1996 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed professional engineer in Kansas and Missouri. He is a member of the American Public Works Association, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the Society of American Military Engineers’ Kansas City Post.
