- Transmission, distribution and battery energy storage systems
Navigating complex transmission and distribution (T&D) project landscapes can be a time-consuming and stressful process, but our experienced team will make a path for you. From evaluating potential routes to aligning your project with regulatory requirements and facilitating stakeholder engagement, our broad knowledge of local and federal permitting processes helps you streamline project approvals and gain critical public support.
In addition to planning and permitting services, we provide robust design and construction-phase support, including geotechnical, electrical, structural and civil engineering capabilities, as well as services for battery energy storage systems. When you partner with us, you benefit from our proprietary SPEED® program, which rapidly evaluates subsurface conditions and allows us to efficiently design location-specific foundations. Our engineers employ local contractors to conduct subsurface investigations, analyze soil and foundation conditions and provide solutions for floodway construction and river engineering as the infrastructure traverses these areas. With our nationwide presence and collaborative approach, we can mobilize quickly while offering the personalized attention your project needs.
With advanced hydraulic modeling and Federal Emergency Management Agency study experience, as well as construction-phase quality control and road monitoring services, we design your T&D projects to meet safety, efficiency and regulatory standards. We also provide the land acquisition and real estate surveying services T&D projects often require, with specialized staff members who manage the delicate process of property acquisition. With a focus on maintaining project schedules and budgets, our land acquisition professionals work closely with property owners to negotiate easements and crop damage assessment assistance when necessary. Our extensive experience in these areas can help you navigate the legal, logistical and interpersonal challenges of acquiring land for T&D infrastructure.
We also offer internal and external stakeholder concurrence support services to assist your team in choosing which sites and related transmission and distribution routes are most favorable for permitting and public support.
