Mike serves as a civil engineer at Hanson’s Springfield headquarters, providing planning, design and construction engineering services for airport projects.
A key member of Hanson’s production team, Mike has engineering experience on Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) projects and as a civil designer performing airfield geometric, grading, drainage and pavement design.

Prior to joining Hanson in 2018, Mike conducted engineering and planning for IDOT’s Division of Aeronautics, performed environmental protection services for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Office of Mines and Minerals, and provided engineering and office management for an environmental field service contractor.
Over the course of his career, Mike has gained extensive experience in airfield planning and design; construction contract management; regulatory compliance review; and environmental reporting, including preparing engineering plans and specifications, overseeing construction activities and preparing corrective action plans for site remediation projects.
