‘A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN THRIVE'”One of the things I enjoy most about working at Hanson is the opportunity to help people grow while contributing to the company’s success. The culture, strong relationships and supportive teams make it a place where people can thrive both professionally and personally.”
With over 20 years of civil engineering experience and over 10 years of project management experience, Melanie has built her career around delivering infrastructure projects, fostering strong client relationships and developing high-performing teams. She began her career with Naismith Engineering in Corpus Christi, Texas, and continued her professional growth following Hanson’s acquisition of Naismith in 2016. After relocating to Austin in 2017, she expanded her leadership responsibilities while supporting Hanson’s growth throughout Central Texas. Over the past two decades, she has successfully managed municipal infrastructure projects for public entities in north and south Texas. Primarily focusing on water and wastewater, her work includes management and design of distribution and collection lines, lift stations and treatment facilities, as well as impact fee analysis and water system modeling. She has also assisted clients in securing project funding from various agencies, such as the Texas Water Development Board and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program, and she serves as a trusted advisor to various public-sector clients.
As a leader within Hanson, Melanie oversees roadway discipline operations, staffing, resource planning, quality initiatives, professional development and strategic growth while working closely with leadership teams to optimize performance and project delivery across Texas. She is an active member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
