Leading Hanson’s national team to support state and local agencies, Shelby serves as a senior vice president and Hanson’s infrastructure market principal for road and highway, tolling, structures, water and wastewater services.

Based in Indianapolis, Shelby joined Hanson in 2023, bringing 30 years of experience in the transportation and infrastructure industry. She is also dedicated to developing and mentoring Hanson’s next generation of leaders to continue our legacy of providing solutions and project delivery excellence for our clients.

Prior to joining Hanson, Shelby held many roles for a global engineering firm, including structures department head, operations manager and business development director. These varied positions in engineering delivery and management consulting gave her a broad perspective on creating and facilitating data-driven solutions for clients and experience in technical design, operations, project management and business development.

Working to advance the field of engineering, Shelby is a political action committee trustee for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Indiana and a member of the ACEC national organization’s planning cabinet. She is also an active leader in her community, serving as a member of the Indianapolis chapter of WTS International, a global organization dedicated to shaping the future of transportation for the public good through the advancement of women.
